Anybody else got it yet?
Zette, bless her heart, mailed me a CD with SO 5.2 on it awhile back. While the apps were nice, the goofy pseudo-desktop interface kinda turned me off.
The new version, on the other hand, kicks some ass. I’ve only played around with the the Writer a little bit, but I’m pretty impressed so far.
Why would you not?
Where I am, MS Office costs over $1000. I’ve been using OpenOffice since the day it was released. OpenOffice rocks, and allows me to stay working on Linux when people (usually needlessly) send me MS Office dox. It does everything that I need and then some, and it’s free as in speech and beer (LGPL). Woot!
