Operation Mockingbird

Well, now I have a new appreciation for what it was like for our saner grandparents to read the mind-bending malarkey vomited up by Stalin loyalists.

RT is pretty much shit. So are CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Al Jazeera, etc. I was fairly aghast at what passes for newspapers in the USA. It is not possible to get your news from a single source and expect to be informed. RT is useful for providing a particular perspective. It’s your responsibility to seek out multiple sources to get to the whole picture.

When abroad I usually stick to BBC and France 24. Most places also have CNN and various other US news channels. None of which I bother with because they’re all bullshit. Although if I feel like a particular perspective I might turn into RT or Jazeera, CNN or Fox.

Would you be kind enough to share with the rest of us the corner of the world which is immune to “strong propaganda” of one type or another? What makes your ‘right minded’ thinking less ‘brain damaged’ than say, ours?

There actually are cases of stupidity and evil in the world. It isn’t all just laziness or bias on the part of those who criticize it.

So you love the old Military Communism presented as new, huh?

If you are so glad, why is Putin making so many efforts (that end up being futile and pathetic) to hide the fact that he is invading?

Thank you for asking me that question, I am aware that everyone that reads news article on a daily basis is exposed to propaganda of one kind or another.
I try to think while I am reading, that helps in finding the parts of the story that make “sense” or appear to have logic, I am reading and not watching video clips from shaky handycams, if there are different sources of a story I will deceide myself which one is the most believeable.

It is clear to me and others that the US-Government is manipulating puplic opinion with the help of propaganda, others do the same but with different intentions, the intensions of the US-Government are “sick” to say the least, the minds of the people makeing the decisions are sick with the fear that the USA is loosing it’s grip on World domination.

Now many of you will argue that it is not true that the USA is dominating the World but look at the way they have placed military bases in stragetic locations all over the World, how they have their BIG business and corporations dominating the globe with their various products and stereotype entertainment.

It’s only logical that they don’t want to loose that position and it makes a lot of sense to try to strenghten their positions ever more, if anyone is arguing against this, s/he has no logic in what s/he thinks.

Everything we see today coming from Big Brother, if it’s the NSA, CIA or whatever, they are in a position to manipulate, what with all the banking and internet having to pass through the US.

I have just read this very interesting article from a source most of you will not access because of it’s URL, but I can assure you it’s a save link and is active since 2001, have a look and see for yourself how you are being manipulated to believe what the mainstream media whants you to “consume” and your “masters” want you to believe.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article40089.htm

From that article:

" The details are emerging of a new secret and quite stupid Saudi-US deal on Syria and the so-called IS. It involves oil and gas control of the entire region and the weakening of Russia and Iran by Saudi Arabian flooding the world market with cheap oil. Details were concluded in the September meeting by US Secretary of State John Kerry and the Saudi King. The unintended consequence will be to push Russia even faster to turn east to China and Eurasia.

One of the weirdest anomalies of the recent NATO bombing campaign, allegedly against the ISIS or IS or ISIL or Daash, depending on your preference, is the fact that with major war raging in the world’s richest oil region, the price of crude oil has been dropping, dramatically so. Since June when ISIS suddenly captured the oil-rich region of Iraq around Mosul and Kirkuk, the benchmark Brent price of crude oil dropped some 20% from $112 to about $88. World daily demand for oil has not dropped by 20% however. China oil demand has not fallen 20% nor has US domestic shale oil stock risen by 21%."

From further down in the article:

" Today the US-backed wars in Ukraine and in Syria are but two fronts in the same strategic war to cripple Russia and China and to rupture any Eurasian counter-pole to a US-controlled New World Order. In each, control of energy pipelines, this time primarily of natural gas pipelines—from Russia to the EU via Ukraine and from Iran and Syria to the EU via Syria—is the strategic goal. The true aim of the US and Israel backed ISIS is to give the pretext for bombing Assad’s vital grain silos and oil refineries to cripple the economy in preparation for a “Ghaddafi-”style elimination of Russia and China and Iran-ally Bashar al-Assad.

In a narrow sense, as Washington neo-conservatives see it, who controls Syria could control the Middle East. And from Syria, gateway to Asia, he will hold the key to Russia House, as well as that of China via the Silk Road."

Be addvised to read all of it, it will open your eyes to the real World that you are not supposed to see.

Peace

May I ask where you are from?

And do you believe that the US government had a hand in the 9/11 attacks?

A couple other thoughts: you say that the US has military bases all around the world to basically dominate other countries. Here’s what you’re missing: those countries want the US there. Japan wants the US in Japan because they could not defend themselves against China alone, and having the US in the region tempers China’s efforts to grab disputed islands. The US was in Saudi Arabia for a long time, which led to bin Laden’s fatwa against the West. Eventually, the Saudis decided it was time for the US to leave. And guess what? We did. The US left the major bases in Saudi Arabia and went elsewhere, where the Gulf States were happy to host US bases. The US didn’t invade Qatar or Bahrain; we were invited in.

So how is it that the US uses these bases in countries to dominate those countries, when the governments that host US military bases want us there?

Finally, the idea that there are secret pipeline deals that lead the US to world domination is just… well, it’s a tired, stupid conspiracy theory. There is no secret pipeline that led the US to invade Afghanistan. There was no secret oil fields in Kosovo that led the US to war there. The idea that oil became cheap in the 1980s as a conspiracy to destroy the Soviet Union is just rubbish. This is just a rehash of the same old silly conspiracy theories that have never proven true, ever, and there’s no point in reading them.

If you’re so concerned about the corrupting power of oil companies, why aren’t you posting about Putin’s enormous personal wealth, and how a humble government employee made billions of dollars and ended up running a country that is rotten to the core?

And do you believe yourself to be unique in that respect? If so, them I’m afraid you’re drinking deeply and willfully from the propaganda spring that says no American has the capacity for independent thought or ability to decide wisely what is fact and what is opinion or lie. Does the average american not have access to the same internet and wealth of information as enlightened thinkers as yourself?

For instance, my BS detector is pinging rather strongly about the link you provided. Is it your expectation that I should put my faith in an individual with a blog? An individual who offers no credentials and fills his blog with contributions from what I recognize as attention seeking conspiracy theorists.

Would I be an independent thinker if I accepted that glurge as fact? Are you?

Why do you only mention US government agencies in regard to “Big Brother”? Surely every country attempts to manipulate what its citizens believe about their own country as well as what foreigners believe about that country. Or do you believe that the US is unique in that regard?

I find it amusing that Simple Mind is so distrustful of American propaganda but is willing to trust a news website run by an American.

Yup.

I’m not really seeing what there is to object to, in that story you linked to. (Though I suspect Mr. Dmytro, like a great many ‘political prisoners’ in foreign countries who go running to the western media, is lying about the conditions of his imprisonment, I don’t doubt that he was imprisoned for awhile, and that he probably deserved it).

By the way, I looked up the author. He’s a member of the Lyndon LaRouche political movement, which is composed entirely of crazies. He denies global warming, and believes that oil does not have a biological origin. He also seems to be an RT favorite, writing articles that the CIA may have shot down the Malaysian jetliner over Ukraine, that Putin should have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize last year, and that farmers who use GMOs are “a new kind of serfs” to Monsanto. He’s also written that Julian Assange is part of a CIA covert operation to take over the Internet, or something like that.

Dude is a crackpot. You ask why Americans don’t listen to him; I ask why anyone would listen to him.

Or that he agrees with the view that Syria is the keystone to controlling the Middle East and the gateway to Asia via the Silk Road … and something something about China and Russia.

Thank you for your various responses, who can guarantee me that some of you are not paid by the CIA to debuke and discredit posts by me and others like me?
Nobody is safe anymore from being misinterpreted or smeared by the ones in charge.

Regarding military bases, that this countries want to have the Americans on their soil is a story that is only true for US citizens that don’t know better, for example Japan and Germany were not allowed to have their own military forces develop as big as it would be nessecary for them to be independent.

I see it rather the way it was when the British sailed up the river and confronted the Chinese with the fact that they better surrender to the Royal Navy or face the consequences, the same story happened again when the American Navy came to Japan and the Philippines, there are more examples that you can look up yourself.

Most other countries were lured by “false” promises of aid and credits that are now strangling them, but nevermind that, important was for the USA and it’s alies to get a foot in the door.

Anyway I am only here to see that nothing short of a new war will convince the US-American citizens of the fact that they were supporting the bad guys, the “very near” future will show who was right or wrong and not me or you are going to be able to do anything about that.

Peace

Maybe one should look at the interests of the Countries that have invited the USA to build military bases on their lands, what could be the interest for example for Saudi Arabia?
That should be easy to answer, no?

How about you answer my questions first.

Such an easy smear to toss around without evidence, and almost impossible to disprove. That’s pretty dirty.

He might well be in the pay of the Russian intelligence and security committee. After all, by his own reasoning, who can guarantee us that he isn’t?

Tell me something, if the CIA and whatever powers you imagine are controlling all the levers are so nefarious and powerful, how can a guy sitting in South California freely post all these “facts” since 2001, without anyone knocking on his door and making him and his blog vanish. Surely an organization you credit so readily with virtually unlimited power can make some shmoe gumming up all their brilliant schemes disappear, no?

For that matter, how hard would it be to get to you and people like you, if we are who you think we are (CIA agents)?

Also, without further obfuscation, please answer the questions I and others have asked you without further unsupported claims and irrelevant stories about sailing up rivers and traveling down silk roads.

Really, how do you intend to see to that? What new war? With whom? How near? All these hysterics and dooms day scenarios and then, “Peace”? Make up your mind, man!
