opinions and why I don't have one.

Seems like the second an opinion is expressed there are five people telling me how wrong I am. Two are in my head, but still. So, at a rather young age I stopped forming opinions and started creating different worlds in my head where there are no opinions, only events. In this world, events and opinions go hand in hand. I can’t read a freaking newspaper without noticing the little (or not so little) negative adjitives implying some form of wrong-doing. Need specifics? Try researching Hitler. His life and the reasons he did what he did are covered in suposition. I can’t trust the internet because I can’t trust people, I can’t trust history books becuase some new fact is recovered every two hours and that’s because poeple in general are not be trusted, especially when it comes to the truth. And it’s frustrating!

Anyone else get pissed when that mermaid “fakumentary” was shown on Animal Planet? It convenced TEACHERs, who despite being public teachers :smack:, should have enough sense to dismiss that shit. I personaly know a woman who went into her classroom to share this breaking news to her students who promtly told her it was really a bunch of bull. Now, students teaching teachers something is not uncommon, but still…something is very wrong with this society and I have no idea what it is.

I try not to get involved because I don’t deal with stupid people. And while ignorance is bliss, this world might be just a bit too happy. That said, I’m going to try to forget any opinions I have recently formed by watching Spongebob, or something equally pointless. :stuck_out_tongue:

In your opinion, is it a good idea to refrain from forming opinions?

Wait a minute, that was fake?

So, OP is of the opinion that what?.. Hitler is/was misunderstood?

I have opinions. I’m willing to be convinced my opinions are wrong. People interpret history however they want. I have a history of WWI published shortly after the end of the war that really lambastes the Germans for “war atrocities.” Are they any more right than any other historical study printed since then? It’s up to you to decide. Why are people so easily convinced by false science? I wish I knew.

I think this may be some kind of Holden Caufield fan fic.

I try to make it seem like I have opinions, because people often get angry when I won’t tell them my opinions. However, I actually have few opinions. I have strongly-held educated guesses in a few areas, but that’s about it. I sometimes speak loudly as a way to cover up my lack of opinions, as one tactic in particular. I also let my real anger at perceived injustice distract people from my lack of opinions.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. That’s how they find you. And DON’T ANSWER THE DOOR either. Do not, under any circumstances, go outside. There are people outside, and YOU CAN’T TRUST PEOPLE!!!

I have never had an opinion in my life. I simply speak the truth as I see it at the moment. Which is subject to change, sometimes before I’m done saying it.

Opinions.
I’ve had a few
But then again
Too few to mention.

Not so fast there, kaylasdad. Westy has a good horse in the race.

So the OP also doesn’t have an asshole? Because you know what they say about opinions being like those. Everyone has one.

I want a second opinion. No, wait, I don’t!

Isn’t not having an opinion an opinion in itself?

Shrug

Meh, an opinion isn’t fact its your assessment of the facts available to you. If you hang out with people willing to challenge you (and we all need a few) it’s a great way to cut to the chase and find out where you might be missing something vital.

It’s why I spend time on SD.

Except for Jews, who have one and a half.

All I know is my gut says maybe.

I don’t have an opossum.
