I remember in the movie"Tin Men" Danny Devito was talking about the wives of Ben cartwright.I paraphrase,“3 sons ,3 wives.Marrying him must be the kiss of death”.
And I remember on episode when he had meant to marry a fourth time. But his intended was bitten by a mad dog(or wolf?) and contracted rabies. They didn’t marry but he told her he’d stay with her till “the end”
