Happy ANDY day!

Pucker up and blow you know, to whistle the theme song

I’m just a girl who loves Andy!

It’s Andy Griffith day. Or the day in the 60s?? the series was launched.

My favorite character was always Otis. I loved the Darlings. Aunt Bea just cracked me up.

Yep.

Happy ANDY day!

My favorite.

Opie: Johnny Paul Jason says tar’s real good for the teeth.
Andy: That’s an old wives’ tale.
Opie: Johnny Paul ain’t married.

Ba dump bump!

Love that.

It’s me, it’s me, it’s Ernest T!

I still have a crush on Thelma Lou.

You sure is weren’t the manicure girl who set up in Floyds?

@iiandyiiii , natch.

I gots the love

Why do people set up Mayberry as some sort of ideal of American life? That place was absolutely horrible. All of the plots in every episode are based on the people there being obnoxious, stupid, or (usually) both.

Cause it’s ok to poke fun at obvious silliness.

I don’t care they might have thought they were some kinda morality play, for the times. It tickles me.

So exactly when was the last time you re-watched some episodes?

Today

Other than some rare reoccurring characters, Otis was the only person in B&W Mayberry that was married.

Andy, Barney, Floyd, Aunt Bee, Thelma Lou, Helen, Gomer, Goober, Briscoe, Ernest T., Ellie…

All Single

Just for the sake of completeness, Opie was also single.

Pretty sure Mayor Stoner was married. But yeah, the ratio of unmarried to married is attention-getting.

And, of course, there was Juanita, never seen on camera but frequently called on the phone by Barney.

I love the ep where there’s a constantly arguing married couple who Andy decides to counsel.

It goes about like you’d expect. Come to find out they enjoyed bickering with each other.

It’s called “The Fishing Hole”, and it has lyrics.

Here Ya Go! Enjoy!

Whoo hoo :confetti_ball: feels like a party!

I go for the brunettes.
