I’m in CA, but my mom’s retirement home friend is asking, on her daughter’s behalf, where in Colorado the daughter could get help for her husband. He’s had medical issues that have left him with the mentality of a small child and he needs 24/7 care. M’s daughter is going to have knee replacement surgery soon and needs someone to help look after her hubby.
She has had some agency send people to her home for this very reason, but she says they just sit around reading instead of working.
Sigh. Why this is my mom’s and my problem is beyond me.
Anyway. He is on Medicare and Medicaid. Do either or both of these entities offer any help for someone in this couple’s situation? I’ve been Googling but can’t find what I want.
