This happens every so often, and is very sad when it does. 
Orcas are among the most social and intelligent of the dolphins, so sympathy for critters that don’t just worry about themselves trapped in the ice, but can show visible distress at the plight of their kin and their young.
Here’s hoping for a break in the weather or some help.
