OK, so this is my second thread in one day. Sue me!
Yesterday, I was in the local liquor store, browsing the wines. I’ve liked some of the Alice White wines in the past, and saw one called “Lexia”. The card on the shelf said “If you like White Zin, you’ll love Lexia”! So, I occasionally like a white zin. Sue me.
It was cheap (less than $15.00 for a big bottle) so I bought it.
Today, it occurred to me that I had some white cheddar cheese cubes in my fridge. The weather is perfect for a sweeter, white wine. Warm, sunny, low humidity; about perfect.
So, I pour myself a glass of the Lexia, put a half-dozen cubes of the white cheddar cubes on a plate, and sit down at the table.
A cheese cube. . .followed by a sip of the wine. Followed by a cheese cube, followed by a sip of the wine. . .lather, rinse, refill the plate and the glass. . .
I know people hate on the white zin. I know it’s the “thing to do” if you’re a wine drinker.
But seriously, to my middle-class, uneducated palate, this is good stuff!
