Origins of car fall video?

Whether they were attempting to kill him, hurt him, damage his bike, or just scare the wits out of him, it was cruelty at best, attempted homicide at worst. Stupid is an entirely different animal. “Stupid” doesn’t imply nasty or cruel. Look up “sociopathic” in a dictionary and tell me it doesn’t fit these kids (and no, it doesn’t fit all teenagers).

The parked car enters the frame from the forward right, confirmed by the movement of the head on impact at frame 313…

Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.

I saw this a year or so ago and remember thinking, “no way that guy lived.”

I too combed the web for an article on the incident. The best I could come up with was the blog where this vid was “they claim” originally hosted before it went WWWild. No way I can recall the URL.

IIRC their story was a group of them were out “goofing” in one of their cars and decided to go and “slap the hats off” some of their friends and tape their reactions. The slapper lost his grip and face planted a parked car.

From what I remember all the guys in the vid were high school kids, even the ones on bikes, they all knew each other. The face plant kid wasn’t seriously hurt and was posting to his blog in a few days.

So homicidal and sociopathic don’t seem to apply nearly as well as Irresponsible, foolhardy and damn fortunate do.

The phrase “licence revoved until age 21” has a nice ring too.

Uh…no. It was “attempted homicide” ONLY if they intended to kill him. There is no law for “attempted killing by stupidity”, if they only meant to scare him / hurt him / piss him off. “Negligent homicide” would apply, but only if the bike kid died (or the face-plant kid, if they charged the driver) – and both lived, apparently.

Do not attempt to use legal terms you do not understand, please.

That’s why it’s attempted homicide at worst.

We’re going off the evidence in the video, not random claims with absolutely no basis in fact like the statement about the kid sliding for a dozen feet before hitting the car.

Here’s a dude who needs some instant karma.

Lucky Driver

Watch the top right of the screen. This guy must dominate Frogger.

Without getting too much off topic, Ebaum has a reputation for stealing content and making money off of it. http://www.ebaumsworldsucks.com/, many other sites out there. You might want to find someone else hosting the video.

Whoa. How the HELL did he do that??

I’ve seen some close calls in NASCAR, but this lucky bastard tops 'em all.

Do not attempt to respond to posts without reading them, please. Note the bold phrases in the post to which you were responding:

I think “attempting to kill him” translates quite well to “attempted homicide.” After actually taking a moment to go back and read the pertinent posts, do you agree?
