Orlando--stuff to do, not kiddie

I never went to that restaurant–I avoid I Drive–but yeah, I’ve gone to Redlight, at least when it was across from Dexter’s (which is where I’m having my b-day lunch tomorrow). I haven’t been since they moved, but some of my work friends are regulars there.

Found this article this morning about things to do in Orlando besides theme parks: http://travel.nytimes.com/2011/03/06/travel/06hours-orlando.html?hpw

So many of the places and people mentioned in that article are so familiar to me. The author hit the “other Orlando” right on the head. She gives a shout-out to my buddies Mark and Lorna at the Red Fox (one of my favorites) and recommends Wally’s, Will’s, Stardust, and the Ravenous Pig! I think she’s been following me around . . .

I’ve taken out of state visitors on the Midway airboat rides (about halfway between Orlando and Titusville on 50) and have always had a blast.

Wally’s might be the single best thing about this whole city. And it’s 400 feet from my office!

Yikes, we’re sort of neighbors, too . . . the wallpaper at Wally’s is worth the trip alone–that and the bang-for-your-buck drinks.

I live in Oviedo, though. I just do my working and drinking here.

Oh man yeah, I miss Wally’s. I remember getting a LIIT there for 4 bucks or so that really kicked my ass. Gooood times.

Boston Lobster Feast is one of my favorite restaurants. They serve excellent lobster bisque. Sign up for their eclub and they will send coupons.
