Orson Welles's "The Other Side of the Wind" finally released (2018)

I have not seen this movie, but I’ve been following the hold-up for years. I completely missed that it had finally been released in 2018, and could find onlythis single comment in a very long thread, so that might have slipped my anyone who might be interested. Anyway, for any cinephiles or Welles fans who missed it, it’s finally available. From the reviews it sounds like something a completist might light, but really nothing special.

I found out when I was looking up comic Benny Rubin, who had died in 1986, and saw that he had a ‘new’ moving in 2018.

Documentary about the making of TOSotW is far more insightful and entertaining than the film itself.

Well, yeah. Of course I was excited when the release happened…but…it’s truly, a challenging ordeal to get through. There’s more art in the Paul Masson commercials, really. I seen better film on teeth.

By all means, explore, but I couldn’t find any “there” there, at all. And, yes, I believe I’ve seen most scraps of film released over the years by Welles, and likely have read every interview, all that. I just couldn’t with this one.
