Osama bin Hussein

Does anyone ever notice how often news analysts, commentators, etc. accidentally say “Osama” when they mean “Saddam” and vice versa? It’s almost eerie.

I watch a lot of news, and I notice this at least like 3 or 4 times a day. They’ll be talking about war, and homeland security, and whatever the issue of the day is, and they’ll just blatantly mix the names up, as if they knew that it didn’t matter which Enemy Of The State they mentioned, even as they proposed their case against them.

It just reminds me of how interchangable Enemies Of The State Of The Day are. Even professional newscasters can’t seem to keep it straight.

We’ve always been at war with Osama bin Hussein.

You mean, of course The Ayatollah Slobosama bin Hussein.

Brilliant!
Btw, band name?

I haven’t noticed any newspeople saying Osama when they mean Saddam Hussein. Are you watching Fox news?

I was looking at the news the other day and Tony Blair was being asked about connections between Iraq and 9/11. He said “There is no evidence whatsoever that al-Qaeda had anything to do with 9/11”
Eh? …

Well, you know, we have always been at war with Eurasia.

I thought we were at war with Eastasia? Or was it Oceania? Anyway, we’ve always been at war with one of them. Bastards.
