Other "-mas" Holidays

Tomorrow is Sexmas. 11 years ago on December 18, El Hubbo and I first danced the horizontal mambo.

Sunday is Creasemas. 1 year ago on December 19, we brought our Cardigan Welsh Corgi, “Crease” home.

Are we the only goobers who have our own holidays?

Your local parish must be very accommadating. Is Sexmass in Latin or the Vulgate?

There really are other -mas holidays! Christmas is, literally Christ’s Mass. Michaelmas, likewise, is celebrated on the feast day of the Archangel St. Michael (September 29). It’s usually associated with some sort of harvest festival.

How about candlemas? It’s also called Imbolc and it’s around Feb 2. It is what Groundhog’s Day is associated with.
