Hello all! First post! 
What are the legal or moral concern of other peoples pets coming into ones own home? If the cat wants to come in and chill for awhile am I still legally stealing the cat? I don’t really care if the cats here but it is nice to have a timeshare-cat.

Interesting question. Personally, I’d let the cat in and call the owner to let them know their cat was at your house. As the owner of three cats I’d be more worried about them roaming the streets than at my neighbors house. Keep a couple of cans of chicken in the cabinet for the kitty and you might just make yourself a new friend.

Once, back when I lived in Jersey, someone “picked up” my folks “lost” cat.
Turns out, the old lady just wanted a few extra bucks for feeding the cat. She never called, never checked with the police. Just held the damn cat hostage so she could demand $10 for cat food reparations.
