The sad thing is that I think he’s done a runner - trolled in, created the inevitable shit-storm, then legged it. I was rather hoping for his contribution to this thread, IYKWIM.
I’d just like to point out that these guys are flaming a newbie called Ottto (three T’s) and not the older poster with the same name but spelled with only two T’s.
Well, thank you, kabbes, although as I told you at the last DubDope, I still feel I have much to learn. That said, I don’t think I’m exaggerating in thinking I’ve probably read more books about NI than Ottto has even heard of.
In the other thread (I’ll continue to post replies here, since we were getting on a serious hijack there) Ottto stated, in response to my citing CAIN, that he liked to get his information from “unbiased” sources. I then asked for an unbiased source for his claims about the UUP. I hereby retract that request. Ottto, if you haven’t already collapsed from the shame of revealing yourself as an utter moron, please provide any source for those claims. I’m genuinely curious about where you’re getting this information, because in all my reading (and I’ve read a lot of pretty seriously republican-biased material) I’ve never come across it. If it is as easy to find as you say it is, it really shouldn’t be so hard for you to come up with a cite for us, should it?
Ottto probably booed the Canadian anthem up at the Palace of Auburn Hills a few weeks ago.

I almost started a Pit Thread about this fact alone. I saw some of his posts earlier and had to double check that the respectable Otto hadn’t gone insane. Then I noticed the extra “T”.
Isuggest we all pass around the hat to send Ottto on a little fact-finding mission to my lovely homeland. It’ll be a once-in-a -ifetime experience for him.
We’ll skip the Glens of Antrim, Giant’s Causeway and the Mountains of Mourne, and head straight to the REALLY educational places.
There Ottto can explain to the locals that the Ulster Unionists are equivalent to the IRA.
I suggest we start on the Shankill Road, moving up to the loyalist Ardoyne, then back down the hill to Tiger’s Bay.
Then a detour to the middle-class UUP heartlands of North Down, taking in the Waterside of Derry and the DUP heartland in Ballymena, before a final trip to Drumcree.
I’m thinking that the BEST he could hope for would be to come out of his holiday minus his kneecaps…and breathing.
