I have no rain gutters, no basement, no flower pots, no pool cover… this is Arizona, do we need rain gutters? I have only the chlorinated pool, not sure about my neighbors. On a good note, I’ve not had any more bites and haven’t seen any other mosquitoes in my house. Maybe those few were the early “birds”.
One of these days, you gotta try camping in northern Ontario or Quebec. In springtime. 
I’m one of those folks who aren’t bothered by mosquito bites. That, or they ignore me and go for other folks. Which I’m fine with.
However, fire ant bites hardly phase me. Which makes my mom hate me. When bitten, it hurts a little bit and itches for about half an hour before it turns zit-like and I pop it. All done.
There is some kind of ant that bothers me. Big and black. Those HURT.
And Deer Flies. Ouch. Clouds of them.
