I used a trick once playing Bridge - I hesitated for a second in a round when I only had one possible card to play, which implied that I had more clubs in my hand which totally let me set the bidder

You think “issues” is bad? At my office we had no problems nor did we have issues. Rather, we had “challenges.” That was irritating enough, but now we’re starting to have “opportunities.” Yeah, in some cases I can see it (a declining market is an “opportunity” to move resources to something that’s growing), but a broken copier is not an “opportunity.”
Do questions asked and then answered by the speaker bother me? Yes.
I hate the “wise” saying from Empire Strikes Back:
