i am ovulating and it hurts, ow. not so you say? i couldn’t possibly feel a tiny cell moving through my fallopian tubes, you say? well, it is so. maybe it is the fallopian tubes contracting to move the egg through or something, but i can definatly feel it.
the first few times i felt it i thought i had appendicitis. but i didn’t. only happens when i am not on the pill or other ovulation suppressor.
ow. doc thinks it’s fibroids. probably will have to have a hysterectomy.
Your doc thinks it’s fibroids??? Well gee, hope your doc is scheduling some (way not fun) ultrasounds!
FWIW, ovulation never caused me excruiciating pain, and I have had more than my share of fibroids. My gallbladder usually hurt due to the nasty lil creatures.
(among various other lovely symptoms).
I’ll hand the heating pad over your way and a cup of tea. Feel better!
It’s excrutiating! It hurts more than menstruating. The upside is that I have never used birth control. I wait until 4 days ovulation and I’m good to go.
:disclaimer: I am in no way advocating this as a method of birth control. You have to know your body very well.
Before I started on the Pill, I could tell you which ovary was ovulating each month. The pain was never very intense, but was just enough to feel the ovary bursting open to release the egg. First time it happened, I, too, thought it was appendicitis, but quickly rulled it out.
If you pains are rather intense, I’ll echo the others here and say “Get it checked out.”
