Oh my, I am tired of aching.
I have 3 slipped discs in my neck, along with arthritis and bone spurs. So suffice it to say, that is a chronic ache. My job involves moving carts and cages that weigh anywhere from 200 lbs to 500 lbs. On Fridays, I clean a shithole of a house along with walking my dog and another dog 5 days a week.
I hurt so bad, I got up at 4 this morning to take a muscle relaxer and am now waiting for it to kick in. Fridays are my bad, bad day for hurting, and Saturdays I typically ache so bad I do nothing. Lord almighty, even my toes hurt.
Not looking for help, just venting. 5:15 and still waiting for the muscle relaxer to kick in.
Blah. Thanks for listening.
Of course you have to gear yourself to getting another job besides pushing 500# around as soon as the economy permits or sooner.
Walking dogs that pull and jerk is the worst for back pain. Is this really necessary for you to perform? If it is, I suggest putting the leash around your belt and never holding it only with your arm. And use a choke chain to retard the pulling. Don’t continue to let the dog walk you.
I live in a condo with a Siberian Husky and a little furry guy. Not walking him would be pure cruelty, but he is reasonably well behaved. The dogs that owners let run around without a leash…not so much. So he does lunge some because of that. The other dog is a paid job and necessary but not so well behaved.
I like the idea of around the waist and will certainly try it. Thanks for the tip!
I can offer nothing but sympathy. I suffer from similar pain, and it runs your life. The only positive thing I can offer is look in to acupuncture. It can work miracles for some. Unfortunately it wasn’t the answer for me, but it has been unbelievably helpful for Mr singular- the difference between bedridden and ambulatory. Good luck!
Hope you get better soon. I guess this pain is a little too severe for an epsom salt bath.
