OWWW!!!

I did have, for a few days. Now it’s back to normal visibly, though it is slightly tender if I press right on that spot.

LOL, thanks. I do drink “regular” water 99 percent of the time (though filtered through a Brita pitcher), but I like to store it in reused Perrier bottles in the fridge (with a little splash of lemon juice added, mmm). Eventually the caps wear out and I buy a new bottle occasionally.

Yeah, it’s gotta be something like that. But why, I wonder? I would have thought of the big toe as being more like the back or someplace like that: not very sensitive.

Oh man: heavy *and *hot! :smack:

Update: earlier, the toe was itchy in that spot (coincidence?) and when scratching it, I noticed a hard bump (bone spur?) that I don’t think was there before, and doesn’t “match” the big toe on the other foot.

What is “how many Dopers describe themselves,” Alex?

It still hurts when I press on it, which I find a little disturbing seven weeks later.

Try pressing something else. Does it still hurt?

I’m not a doctor, but I play one on the internet. My advice is “Don’t do that!”

Thanks, the nurse will see you out. I’ll mail my bill.
