This will sure rile up a heated debate here but here’s a short summary:
Lavinia Woodward a 24yr old woman from Oxford who appeared at an Oxford Court for stabbing her boyfriend during a drug fueled rage may likely avoid jail as she is seen as ‘too talented’ by a judge.

What do you think about her being released? I’m not offering opinions now as to introduce bias into the discussion but is it a simple mistake or should she get ‘punished’ as the judge sees fit?
It’s common here in the US for first time offenders to avoid serious punishment when there are mitigating factors. Is she being found not guilty in some way, or just avoiding time behind bars? With prison overcrowding here there’s a good chance someone in similar circumstances would get probation based on followup with some treatment. The article states the UK judges have been giving harsh sentences for minor crimes and this looks overly lenient in comparison. I don’t see any way to evaluate the situation based on just the information provided but I’d prefer to see violent crimes treated more stringently here. Not to ruin people’s lives, but to protect the public.
I’m curious… why the specific link to all the images? Should I use any information gathered from that link to guide my judgement?
This belongs in IMHO…but instead of moving it there, I’m closing it.
Femmejean, you have been told about making too many topics and waiting until others drop off the first page before making another.
So here it is again: Slow down on the topic making or more of your threads may be closed if you start them in too short of a time.
If at least one of your topics is still on the front page of a forum, don’t start another.
