The Republicans are in deep trouble. The speech was ok I guess but nothing I’ll remember in the week. MCcain also had about six gaffes in the speech. Not good.
Oh well. Palin in 2012!
I’m just kidding about Palin but her speech was so much better.
That’s why she was picked. She’s gonna be a big reason the Repubs have some hope this November.
I do see the possibility of Palin in 2012, esp if she has a successful governorship.
(I’m not putting any bets down on her being VP… yet).
Good news in the latest issue of Tu Quoque (“News for Us, not for Them”): Palin having delivered a speech that was well-received, we’re now greenlit to refer to her supporters as “followers” and “Palinoids,” to decry the ominous “Cult of Palin,” and to call her an “empty skirt.”
Why bother? They’re doing it to themselves. Or didn’t you see the “Hot Chick” and “Hockey Mom” signs and buttons all over the place during Palin’s speech?
Palin’s speech was a 10 on style and a 2 on substance. McCain’s was a 2 on style and maybe a 3.5 on substance. So stylistically, yes, she blew his doors off.
We’re talking about an election campaign. There are no points for substance.
She shoiuld have worn a cheerleaders outfit and shook pom pons.
Some in the conservative movement are aware of the irony of Palin’s reception:
The guys naturally, would be “Palindrones”, in an “Able was I ere I saw Palin” sense.
Otherwise known as Palinoia.
Why is this in the pit? There’s not even a good flurry of cuss words to make it stand out from the hundreds of other Palin threads.
Well, we could use one cussword to describe Palin, but McCain’s already used it for his wife.
Up here, they’re called “Palinistas”.
