Well, to be fair (or honest, anyway) he didn’t make fun of him (Michael J. Fox) for being ‘too shaky’; he accused him of being extra shaky in a political ad in order to gain sympathy and score points for the election of a Democrat who supports stem cell research.
Not that I care particularly; as I said, I no longer listen to Limbaugh but what’s right is right, and the fact of the matter is that Limbaugh didn’t ‘make fun’ of Fox for being ‘too shaky.’
And here’s an interesting page. It’s on Limbaugh’s site and I found it while Googling for what exactly he did say. It makes several interesting declarations, which I would presume are true since he’s posting them as a matter of record open to all and sundry, including debunkers:
*Fact: I Never “Made Fun” of
Fox or Said He Was “Faking”
Fact: The Missouri Bill is on Cloning, Not Stem Cells
Fact: Stem Cell Research is Legal in Missouri, and Jim Talent Does Not Oppose It
Fact: Ben Cardin (D-MD), Who Fox Did An Ad for, Voted AGAINST Stem Cell Research
Fact: Michael J. Fox Admitted on ABC “I Haven’t Read It” When Asked About the Missouri Amendment to Legalize Human Cloning That He Mischaracterized as a Stem-Cell Bill in the Ad!*
He goes on to say:
“Michael J. Fox Admits Not Taking
Meds Before Some Public Appearances” (and provides video of Fox admitting it)
"Fox Also Wrote it in
His Book “Lucky Man” (and provides excerpt)
Now, none of this should be construed as a defense of Limbaugh nor a condemnation of Michael J. Fox, but as they say, facts is facts, and the fact of the matter is that your comment in this regard is misleading and wrong. I would think that Limbaugh says enough that he could legitimately be criticized for without your having to make it look like he’s said things and behaved in ways that he hasn’t.
