Palin supporters: did you know she's a book banner?

  1. Right, cuz you KNOW there were copies of Hustler out on the open shelves in the Wasilla Public Library
  2. Um, actual books please.
  3. Would you seriously advocate banning this book? Again, good to know.n

You say that now, but when every other bible burns McCain’s hand as he tries to swear on it, you’ll be back-peddling like a mo-fo.

I’ll tell you what. If she has not actually banned a book, than you cannot call her a “book banner” without lying.

Personally, I will not stand here and accept chastisement from a lying liar attempting to besmirch the good name of our next VPILF.

When you can tell us what books she attempted to ban and how she did it, you’ve got a story. Until then, you have a supposed one-time mention of some topic of conversation. Maybe, since the people reporting it can’t even remember what books, if any, she mentioned, or really in what context.

You’re against the Necronomicon? I’ll have you know some of my best friends are Deep-One-Americans.

And the Anarchist’s Cookbook? Pfeh. I might not have it on the stacks, but do you think there’s a single thing in there not online already?

There is, of course, a weird and wacky solution. Someone could ask her if she would ban books from a public library. I’m actually fairly willing to trust to her honesty on the subject. I don’t think she’s proven hypocritical or dishonest.

Cite. Show me one example of someone attacking her daughter for being pregnant.

For all I know, pornography like Hustler was available. The winters are long, you got lots of lonely mountain men. I really don’t know. Do you?

It’s hard for me to give you an example of hate speech books, because I don’t read them. I don’t really wish to go searching for truly horrible examples of hate and torture. So I won’t.

Anyway, this whole thing is kind of stupid, even for you. All you know is that she allegedly asked about the possibility of banning books. You do not know the context of that question, or the intent behind. You do not know if she actually wished to ban books, and even if you suppose she did you don’t know which books she wished to ban.

This is not enough information for a reasonable person to pass judgement.

With a name like Scylla, it seems like you and Cthulu would be good buddies. you have a lot in common you know.

Or Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

Wow. The contortions you’ll put yourself through just to slit your own throat with Occam’s razor is truly impressive.

Cool. Good to know. If you can discount anything anyone says just because “the lefty blogosphere” has a few nuts in the mix, then it’s fair game for me to totally dismiss anything you say by quoting the crazy streetcorner dude with the megaphone on a totally unrelated topic.

Your argument boils down to this: “Discussing whether the potential next VP is in favor of censorship is not possible because a nutcase with a blog criticized her pregnant daughter.”

 Neither of those do that.

Classic. Absolutely classic.

The next vice president you’d like to fuck? Who was the previous vice president you’d like to have fucked?

Obviously you’ve never seen Dan Quayle in a dress.

VPILF seems like a little much. She’s better looking than the average politician, but that’s not saying much. I suppose she could find work in “mature lady” type porn, if she so desired.

He’s a real hot tomatoe.

Isn’t bush a perennial favourite for that sort of thing?

I read both articles (they were pretty short), and somehow missed the parts dissing Mrs. Palin’s daughter. Scylla would you mind pointing out the passages that attack Bristol for being pregnant?
