Palin's still got it.

And the viola section is unfamiliar with looking down the pants of ANY female. Especially the men.

BITE YOUR TONGUE!

Okay, that hurts.

GHDubyaBush never seemed moments away from dropping dead at a moment’s notice…

Health care reform, job creation, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope!

There was that ONE time…and as I recall there was a lot of buzz in the papers about “OMG President Quayle? WTF” and I remember more than one characterization of Quayle as “Bush’s Assassination Insurance Policy.”

As a follow-up to the latest abuse of power implications: The union has withdrawn its accusation of political influence in the case of Levi Johnston’s mother and her oxycontin dealings. Ms. Johnston has requested a public defender, probably because all her drug money is tied up in CDs and she doesn’t want to pay a penalty for early withdrawal.

Secondly, in the case of Levi himself, and his employment on the North Slope: he has resigned his job to eliminate any further speculation on how he got said position. His father, who works for the same company, said that if anything, he was the person who influenced the hiring of his son. Governor Palin adamantly denies exerting any political influence whatsoever on the process and that she “only wrote a letter of recommendation.”

Just like another great Alaskan, Frank Murkowski!

I wonder if McCain’s choice of Palin was yet another sign that he might have a little problem with gambling addiction. Prpbably a good thing he didn’t get to play with the US nuclear stockpile in his pile of chips.

Bookkeeper, worse than that. Gambling is not bad.
McCain’s game is craps.
THAT’S bad. And he ran the campaign like he was playing it. All or nothing… and he got nothing. Suspending the campaign, fake-running to DC, Palin.

Obama’s game is poker. And I would not like to face that man in a hand of poker. He’ll grind you into the ground.

Palin: Media goes easy on Kennedy

I thought during (or just after) the campaign she complained that her handlers* wouldn’t *let her do interviews. Now she says they wouldn’t let her get out of interviews?

Looks like the Gotcha Dopers are at work again. :dubious:

The Republican campaign trio of 2008 — Palin, McCain, and Joe the Plumber (otherwise known as Winken, Blinken and Nod) — have suddenly decided to play musical chairs.

Joe the Plumber is going off to be a war hero; Palin’s taken up a job dispensing sewage. In other news, McCain has decided to enter a beauty pageant.

Plural? :dubious:

That would be “Winken, Blinken and Knob”, I believe.

Jeez, this woman is the whiniest bitch ever. There were a whole bunch of pieces of this interview shown last night on MSNBC, and now I want to shoot HER out of an airplane.

I’d wager that her big problem was that they didn’t let her have carte blanche to run her part of the campaign (and a significant chunk of McCain’s part) any way she damn well wanted to, which has been her leadership style so far. To be fair, that style did get her into the Governor’s office…

Palin: Media goes easy on Kennedy
Exactly, because Palin desperately craved the kind of cool-to-tepid reception Kennedy has been getting. And Kennedy would hate to become some kind of break-out media sensation whose name is seriously bandied about for the 2012 presidential race.

I love this bit from CNN:

“Sarah Palin is credited with making Tina Fey a world-wide star and boosting Katie Couric’s ratings at CBS.”

Although 30 Rock has struggled to find an audience, I feel safe in saying that Fey was already a lot more famous than Palin. When McCain first plopped Palin onto the national stage, that was the oftenest-heard reaction to her: she’ll be played by Tina Fey. The sober second reaction was: or maybe Peggy Hill (also formerly more famous than Palin).

As for Couric, yes, she did manage to shake off some of her reputation for being a lightweight and a shill by asking Palin a few questions that were not mere setups for rehearsed talking points. So, if you want to give Palin credit for being somebody even Katie Couric could and would plane, go right ahead.
