panasonic phone question-my last hope

I have a KX-TCM418ALW phone answering machine combo thingy
and as it works perfectrly well I don’t want to get rid of it.
However, I have lost the manual and can’t remember how to adjust the time stamp or how to set the number of rings before the machine kicks in.

Help, anyone!

Go to the Panasonic website and search for the model thingy you own. User manuals – even for old or discontinued devices – are usually available on the site for download or reading. I have yet to not find an old manual for some electronic appliance (though admittedly I’ve never tried it with a Panasonic device).

Beat me to it, here is their page to download mauals though – http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/OperMan/FindManual.asp?bhcd2=1071085423. You need adobe acrobat to look at the manuals online.

The number you gave des not come up but they do show one that is similer, perhaps the directions will be close enough to help you though.

gotcha!

Tried all and failed.

Thanks for the link Ana!

Seems to be an older model which is why it’s not on Panasonic’s website. It’s a 49 MHz phone, and they haven’t made these in a number of years. Can you post a link to a closeup photo of the buttons on the base unit? I might be able to tell you a few things to try. I’m usually pretty good at working things without the manual. I’ve never met a digital clock or watch I couldn’tset.

Or not. Seems it was made in 1999, according to this page, so it must be a 900 MHz, I would think.

ana’s link worked.
the model following mine has the same layout, with a new bell and whistle or two.

thanks again
