I must strenously object.
I make custom omelettes and eggs for our lodge’s monthly breakfast. And I can flip them with no spatula.
It usually elicits “ooh” and “ahh” from watchers. Very ego-satisfying. And when we need a second chef, another man comes out to cook. He uses a spatula. My omelettes are preferred 10-1 over his “IHOP” style omelettes.
I will admit that pancakes need a spatula. Your over-generalization of food-flippers got my ire up.
