Just a happy mid-pandemic thought, with antibody testing we can know who is immune and who is not. It may be possible to mark these people to be safe to buy and sell and work. As we don’t know what exactly the mark is it may be something like we already have on the phones, either using finger print ID or facial recognition. Saint John when looking at these events might have seen people holding their right hand or their forehead to the readers. Also Trump makes a great beast, or at least on of it’s heads.
This could be said about pretty much anything in modern society.

Could you give it a go of anything like this in scale and scope? A president who has claimed total authority, and he is a elected king, bullying other countries, uniting with other dictators (Putin included). Lockdowns around the globe, restrictions on what people can by and where they can go? Looking to ease the restrictions based on who has had the virus, which perhaps they will have to prove to once again rejoin society?

I was responding to your idea about mark of the beast. There’s nothing about the current crisis that changes the information kept on your phone. And still lots of people don’t have smartphone or set them up with payment options. And phones are a pretty poor analog to the mark of the beast as described.
The rest of the stuff happens from time to time. Trump is an outlier, but there are always outliers happening in the world. Aside from working from home rather than the office, my life hasn’t changed too drastically.
My mom’s otherwise intelligent friend thinks that Bill Gates is going to develop a vaccine and that will be the mark of the beast.
So… they’ll vaccinate you in the middle of your forehead? Like people of my generation still have a smallpox vaccine scar on their upper arm.
This is the same person who said Obama was the antichrist and was going to declare himself supreme ruler. She conveniently forgets the crazy things she says so, when Bill Gates isn’t going around jabbing needles into peoples’ foreheads, she’ll “forget” that, too.

If you’re saying Trump is the Beast or AntiChrist, such claims have been made of countless figures in the past. If even-more-applicable individuals like Hitler didn’t turn out to be the AntiChrist/Beast, it’s dubious someone like Trump would.
Worse than that - Bill supposedly has talked about the potential to inject an invisible dye into the skin along with a COVID-19 vaccine and then using cellphone apps to detect it so we’ll know who’s been vaccinated.
Add that to Bill Gates’ plan to depopulate the world through vaccination and we’re into heavy 666 territory.

I always thought the corona virus was a weed in the lawn of life. when it comes for me I’m ready with the weapon of choice.
Many comments have me ask a question. What is the tipping point for the US sliding into a totalitarian regime? Note that the point of no return may be before, and probably would be before the noticed effect. By the time it is noticed the US is lost it’s already to late. Trump has been gathering power to the degree he can get away with, now trying to adjourn congress.
The mark of the beast, the the forced sense would perhaps happen after that tipping point, past the time of no return.
Someone mentioned Hitler, I also feel that Hitler was a head of the beast, Revelations says the beast has 7 heads. As for antichrists, the bible states that already many have gone out. The Hail Hitler salute certainly showed off the right palm.
To me the beast is a real, but demonic spiritual entity, that could manifest throughout time on earth. The Bible states that time does run differently in the heavens then on earth (one day is a thousand, a thousand days are as one), and Revelation was taken from the heavenly perspective of the earth, not on how it the results will play out on earth. I have had dreams about the holocaust, where many were ‘raptured’ before death.
This also helps me personally reconcile the great flood of Noah, making sense of the evidence and the myth. Many cultures have either had great floods or myths of them. Many have speculated that most cultures at some point will go though a flood that devastates society, but it’s local. Through the tellings over generations of the survivors the stories get embellished. But perhaps that is the great flood as described from the heavenly perspective, on earth we get them as a series smaller floods that devastate local cultures throughout time.
