My Strongbadiophage virus infected every nation save two: a certain island starting with M (grrr!) and Indonesia. In other words, I left the world in the hands of the planet’s largest muslim nation.
So… do I get my virgins now, or do I have to wait?

It felt so good to finally infect Madagascar.
Agreed. I had more than half the symptoms and people still weren’t dying. Where’s “Spontaneous Combustion” when you need it?
Who knows?
But I found that, when I managed to get the lethality up a ways and people started dying, the governments burned bodies and deaths stopped. I think I had everyone in the world infected (except Madagascar and Greenland) but no deaths were occurring.
On the other hand, The Controvert’s algorithm is good. I finally got a plague ship in to Madagascar port last night. I watched it sail in with bated breath, and cheered (quietly) when the screen told me I’d got them.
84 days to exterminate life (I couldn’t buy Drug Resistance IV straight away).
Really? I was able to wipe out the planet with “Harmless” active, it just took a bit longer than usual…
I got bored, so I minimized the screen and did some other stuff. It’s now been 500 days since the first case of “The Snuffles”, and there’s a single ship wandering around the Atlantic, trying in vain to find an open port.
I got 254039 in 50-odd days thanks to The Controvert’s advice. Got on the high score list of the day, too!
