Parents--Aquarian Associates. Any experiences?

We got a postcard in the mail announcing that Aquarian Associates is having an open casting call or something like that at the mall tomorrow. We were going to take the boy over, becase, like every other parent on the planet, our kid is handsome, charming, smart, entertaining, and a natural performer.

But looking around, we cannot find anything positive about them. There’s plenty of negative stuff on line, but nothing positive.

Anyone here have any experience with them? How much did you lose?

I don’t know about this particular agency, but having worked with child actors before on a couple of shows, any agency that wants money up front from the parents makes me wary. Obviously, you’ll pay money for head shots, but I’d even recommend going with an independent photographer and then taking those shots to an agency. (Or an agency will recommend a photographer, but the agents I knew didn’t make or charge money from those referrals).

I’m always wary of these open casting calls anyway, but it doesn’t sound like they’ve got a very good reputation.
