What I thought of this morning was doing porn is the only legal job in your past they can get away with firing a school employee for. Why do they get away with this discrimination? She has done nothing inappropriate at school, and she doesn’t even do this now, so she can’t be fired as a conflict of interest. Please name other legal past jobs that disqualify you to work in a school cafeteria, if you can. I did think of one other job now that they can do this for and that’s stripper, but not much different.
It could be a great way to increase nutritional awareness. I imagine every boy would like her to peel his banana.
Aid worker at a leper colony, maybe?
I’m surprised at how they describe the interview process. Typically a job like that would require you to fill out a job application. I thought most jobs in schools these days also required a background check. So the discussion of school officials having no way of knowing about her porn work seems odd. Or, if she didn’t list it, typically would give them grounds to fire her, for omissions on an application which would typically ask for “complete and correct” information about past employment.
Why do you say that?
Well, school work is typically government employment so the laws are different and state-specific.
But private sector employment in the US is typically at will, which means they can legally fire you for any reason or no reason as long as it’s not a prohibited reason. If Acme Co. decided to let people who’d worked at a competitor before go, I don’t see how that would be illegal. If someone wanted to let you go because you had worked for Planned Parenthood before, that would probably also be legal. The same might also be true for working on a political campaign, since most states and the feds don’t prohibit discrimination based on political affiliation. Some states do prohibit discrimination for “legal conduct outside the workplace,” but not all do. I believe it is specifically illegal to discriminate against someone for prior military service, and the fact that we have a law spelling it out indicates that’s a job some employers would like to discriminate against.
I suspect the woman’s strongest legal argument would probably be gender discrimination, assuming that her behavior is being judged in a way similar behavior by a man would not be.
Maybe they’re worried that instead of putting the kids’ drinks in their cups she’ll spray it all over their faces.
Well, she shouldn’t show the kids her taint, for starters.
A school lunch lady? A role model?
That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve read today, and I waded through the QED/leander shagfest.
My first thought was “Why couldn’t the lunch ladies at my school look like porn stars?”
Then I started having thoughts about the lunch ladies who actually were at my school doing porn.
Now I can’t get those images out of my head, and I hate Crystal Gunns, and I think the courts should force her to work every day as a lunch lady at an elementary school until the warranty runs out on her tits and they fall off. As punishment for making me lose any desire to even LOOK at food right before Thanksgiving.
And tomorrow Mrs. Fresh is going to wonder why I keep giving her sultry looks every time she scoops something onto my plate.
I was thinking along those same lines. Except in my version, kids would be asking her if size really does matter.
Honestly, I say stick her in a high school instead. Give teens an adult they can actually talk about sex with.
