Parking garage zombie in the new Dawn of the Dead

So, there was the legless zombie in the parking garage. He got around by using the pipes like monkey bars.

I’m assuming that this guy was trying to get rid of the other zombies and he jumped up to grab the pipes and got his legs eaten/ripped off.

Is this what everyone else is thinking?

I didn’t know I was supposed to think during that movie.

(I liked it BTW)

Anyone who can hang onto overhead pipes while being eaten alive below the waist is one baaaaaaad motherhonker.

Side note:

The legless zombie wasn’t a result of CGI a la Lt Dan in Forrest Gump, but rather a legless stuntman gussied up to be a zombie. The ‘how they did it’ feature on some of the zombies is well worth the purchase price of the DVD.

You know, it was an entertaining movie, but it really doesn’t improve when you think about it.

I remember watching “The Best Years of Our Lives” with my mother, and she wondered how they did the “effect” of the sailor who’d had his hands blown off. Same thing. The young man, Harold Russell, was a sailor who’s hands were blown off in an accidental explosion.
