Parking placard for the disabled valid out of state?

My family are going to be vacationing in Hawaii next week. My wife has a placard that permits any car she is a passenger in to be parked in the parking spaces for the disabled. We live in Californa, and the placard was issued by the DMV.

If she brings her placard with her to Hawaii, will it be valid for use in our rental car?

Yes.

Hell, in most states a California plate or driver’s license is enough to prove disability! :stuck_out_tongue:

I joke. I joke our left coast friends!

(bolding mine)

ahem ISWYDT!

Yes. We used our placard in Tennessee with no issues.

We have used our placard and/or plate in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and Michigan without any problem.

If you have a diploma from either Clemson or Florida State all you have to do is tape it to the inside of your car’s window and you get handicap status in every state in the country.

It seems that Clemson is ranked 168 and Florida St 177 on Forbes college list.

I should add that those rankings are out of 600 colleges, so well into the top third. Alex, where did you go to school?

“We’re Number 177! We’re Number 177!”

Has a ring to it.

Out of 660, actually, so even better!
