If you asked 10 minutes ago mine would have been to do with the quiz as well but I just rebooted so the clipboard is empty the moment. I’m stuck on one of the observation quizzes, trying to figure out what Silas touched last, it looks like water but that answer isn’t working.

Phillis Wheatley was born on the western coast of Africa around 1753 or 1754. Around the age of seven, she was kidnapped and sold to John Wheatley of Boston to be a servant of his wife in 1761. John Wheatley was a prominent tailor in Boston. Phillis showed a great aptitude for learning and quickly learned to read and write. The Wheatley’s realized her potential and let her have time to study and write.
The following version of her poem “On the Death of the Rev. Dr. SEWELL” appeared in her book of poems Poems on Various Subjects, Religious and Moral which was published in London in 1773. Phillis was unable to get a book published in Boston. This was Phillis Wheatley’s only book, and the first book to be published by an African-American.
This version was written in 1769. It was an elegy to her pastor, Joseph Sewell (1688-1769), who was a minister for 56 years at Boston’s Old South Church.
This version was chose to be used because it is the first printed version. No changes have been made because this editor believes there is no need to. Differences between this version and other versions will be discussed in the notes.
Haha, that’s from my final english assignment, we had to edit a poem and produce an edition. And it’s a 1000 level American Lit class, and we’re not editors. Mine sucked.
