So…umm… what does he think would have happened with that whole Hitler-Third Reich - Leibenstraum thing if we never set foot in Europe?
I dunno. Isolationists at the time were willing enough to let Hitler have Europe – not our business. Hitler’s original plan, historians say (based partly on his published, partly on his unpublished writings), was to utterly destroy the nations of Poland and Russia, colonize them with Germans (reducing the surviving Slavs to slavery or, at best, second-class noncitizenship like the blacks in South Africa under Apartheid), and make Germany a continental power like the U.S. – and, meanwhile, avoid conflict with the U.S. Hitler envisioned a final struggle with the U.S. for world supremacy but he hoped to put it off for a generation, while Germany consolidated its gains. After the U.S.-Japan conflict started, Hitler lost his cool and declared war on the U.S. – perhaps his greatest mistake.
Quite honestly, I don’t think he really cares. He’s gone on record as saying that Hitler was never a threat to the US.
psssst…“Lebensraum”. But I love how you turned “living space” into something like “belliesdream”!
What?

While the buzz is pointing towards indictments coming, I think the main objective (Who spilled the secret?) might not be the focus of the indictments, I think that mostly false statement indictments will be lodged against White House officials. Not the bombshell that many expected, but it will be damaging nevertheless.
If Fitzgerald’s scope was as **BrainGlutton ** said, then all hell will break…
Those were mostly elderly Jews who thought they were voting for James Buchanan.
