Wouldn’t work, nothing about liberal hypocrisy or the savage persecution of conservatives here on the Dope. Also, not enough cowbell.
Sorry, Bricker, but you’re still ‘citing’ your memory of something I said a goodly number of years ago, and using that as an argument against something I’ve said here in this thread.
I’ve explained how you might make the jump from handwaving nonsense to a criticism that’s likely in the spirit of the post of mine that we both vaguely remember, but you’ve been unwilling to do that.
So it’s time to call bullshit on your rather nonsensical debate technique, and I’m doing that now. Deal.
Remember that the OP was only intended as a mild bit of humour better suited for MPSIMS. But I knew it would turn serious, so that’s why I put it here.
No. If I had claimed you did it, and then, when challenged for a cite, offered up only my memory, you might have a point.
But I said right up front that my recollection was what I was relaying. I still have that recollection. I can’t find a way to narrow a search down. So people are certainly free to disregard it as faulty memory.
Never accused you of misrepresenting it, just saying that it’s a good deal less than a cite, yet you’re relying on it.
I’m not disregarding it as an entirely faulty memory. I’m just suggesting that it’s less than exact in relevant ways - which is what you should expect from such a memory.
My problem is that you are relying on it at all, to the extent of having pushed this line of reasoning over the course of several posts. Especially after I’ve made it clear, repeatedly, that your memory and mine of this post differ in certain important ways.
However, it is good to hear you at least say that others should feel free to disregard it as a faulty memory, because that’s certainly not a suggestion you made before now. OK, I disregard it as a faulty memory. So my point stands that it’s all the Republican-dominated parts of the country that have lost their moral fiber, since this faulty memory is the only objection you’ve lodged against it.
