Paw Patrol questions

I’m visiting family this week and one result of this is I’m watching a lot more Paw Patrol than I normally would be. And I have questions.

What’s the deal with Mayor Humdinger? He’s called a mayor but I’ve seen that he lives in a cave with a bunch of cats. Is there a city he’s mayor of? Has this city been seen in the show? Or is he claiming to be the mayor of Adventure City instead of Mayor Goodway?

Second question. I’ve seen several cats in this show. Some cats can talk and use technology. Some cats can use technology but only meow like regular cats. And some cats act completely like regular cats. Have these various types of cats ever interacted? Is there a similar division among dogs? Have the Paw Patrol ever encountered regular dogs that bark instead of talking and can’t drive cars around?

Foggy Bottom.

I think so, but I don’t remember for sure.

The city in the show is Adventure Bay, not Adventure City. Foggy Bottom is nearby and a rival town.

Adventure City is the big New York City analogue from the movies. Mayor Humdinger becomes Mayor of Adventure City and then bans dogs in the movie.

I can’t answer all of your cat related questions because my daughter is only on Season 2.

No answer to your questions but Malcolm Gladwell, on a recent episode of Revisionist History, featured In Defense of PAW Patrol. He tries to explain why he and his daughter watch it despite things like the Reddit thread Paw Patrol has ruined my child’s brain.
