pawn shop question

About 4 years ago, I pawned something stolen for a boyfriend. I didn’t know it was stolen at the time. I was never investigated or ever confronted by any law enforcement. I have since moved out of state. I’d like to pawn my wedding ring, as times are difficult. Do you think I have anything to worry about, if I pawn something that is mine in another state? Just curious.

Thank you.

So you married the boyfriend who had you sell stolen items and now want to sell the wedding ring he gave you? How do you know it’s not stolen? :dubious:

No worries, go ahead and sell it, no one is looking for you.

Lol, no. I should have made that clear. I married a stand up guy. So I know it’s not stolen.

If you weren’t charged or even investigated, no issue. Unless that shop somehow got involved in a stolen property case and has blacklisted you. But some other shop? Go ahead and cash it in.

BTW - assuming you never want it back I would check/shop it around. Coin shops and other places will often give you more than a pawn shop. Every piece of jewelry and shop is different so a couple stops could prove worthwhile.

Legal advice is best suited to IMHO.
