I didn’t realize this thread was still alive.
The other day I went to see Sex in the City and when I came out into the parking lot, there was a young-ish woman alone getting out of her car wearing fabulous, high, strappy sandals. I asked her if she was going to see SITC and she said yes, and I said, “Those are the PERFECT shoes to be wearing to that movie- they are fantastic!” And we had a nice convo about shoes.
It generally does brighten someone’s day when a stranger goes out of their way to notice something like this. It’s a cheap thrill for both parties.
