Any opinions on advantages and/or disadvantages of the PayPal app?
What’s an “app”? I have it book-marked. Is that the same thing?
Apps are small programs (applications) to run on iPhones and iPads, for different functions. This one seems to be a way to use your iPhone to pay without giving a credit card, and some other uses. They are saying it’s more secure but I was wondering if anyone knows if there are things to watch out for.
You mean it’s a Bookmark, in your phone, that does the same thing as a Bookmark in your computer at home. (or a Favorite, depending on your browser.) And if your phone provider just called it a bookmark, nobody would have thought it was cool enough to buy a phone. And some of them are actually free? And phone companies compete with each other to put the most Bookmark Bloatware in their phones. Am I getting the picture? Bear with me, here, I just have a landline.
No, he doesn’t. He means exactly what he said - that it’s a small program designed and optimized for a mobile device.
 Oh, now I get it - you’re just trying to expose the giant conspiracy of Big Phone in getting the masses to buy into the smartphone market. Good luck with that, Don Quixote.
Creating a great app will make you a millionaire.
Creating a great bookmark will just get you to YouPorn faster.
This is a bad thing? ![]()
Well, there’s an app for that.
Thank you.
I did find reviews in the iTunes App Store and it seems to get 4+ out of 5 stars. I have used PayPal for a few years now and am quite satisfied with it, but still not quite sure what the new App actually does. Since it requires OS7 I finally did that update, which went smoothly though I forgot/don’t know my Apple ID or password. I’ll straighten that out at the Apple Store in a day or two.
I use the Paypal app and have no complaints. It gives me notifications on my phone when any activity pops up which is nice.
Do you use the app on an iPhone or iPad? If I’m in a store and have the app and an item I wish to purchase, do you know what I would do to make the transaction? Just tell the cashier and it would become obvious, providing they accept PayPal of course?
I’ve read that it can also be used to pre-order for pickup too.
Can anyone get the PIN function working?
My email/password combo is too much messing about on a virtual keyboard, but the PIN option just gives me: login failed.
