In honor of Tax Day here in the US, I was wondering what payroll deductions workers in other countries.
My salary is credited directly to my account. Commonwealth income tax, my superannuation contributiona and union membership are deducted.
National taxation (PAYE), social insurance, union membership, health insurance and pension contribution. The first two are the only deductions common to all employees in Ireland.

Not counting the RRSP deduction that’s almost 50%!! Woohoo! Canadian taxes rock. 
When I max out my CPP contribution in August my montly take home pay increases by over 600.. heh.. That's something like a buck five in US, I think .
