Today I’m nailing it watching Antiques Roadshow.Must be over a hundred episodes of the Roadshow. Today I am watching one where someone brought in an Austrian bronze cat, 1860. I guessed 2k. Valued at - 2K! Then a pair of matching French vases, 1910. I guessed 8k. Valued at - 8K! A Margaret Mitchell collection, including a copy of Gone With the Wind and some lettters. I guessed 5k. Valued at - 8K. So a little bit off but in the neighborhood.
Was way off the other day. A woman had 3 Hank Aaron rookie cards and 2 Sandy Koufax rookie cards. Plus a few dozen other cards from that era. I was guessing 20k, but since the condition was rated as 2 on a 1-10 scale, only 3k.
