I don’t know what other names it’s called, but I’ve always known it as a Peace Lilly.
Anyway, a few years ago I got this plant that was given us for mom’s funeral. It’s done very well and is very nice to have around. Very large, easy to keep, lush dark green leaves and rather pretty blooms. This year, I thought it would be nice to treat it to some outside air to prevent the second-hand smoke from killing it off. Well, that apparently didn’t work so well.
The leaves are all brown and wilted, obviously it’s an indirect sun type of deal. This is a pretty hardy plant from what I’ve been told (and proven by not killing it in the last 3 1/2 years.) So now The Caddy is wondering if we should trim the leaves to help the plant recover. They’re almost all brown and will fall off sooner rather than later naturally. I’m just not sure that would do more damage by shocking the plant rather than letting them fall off when ready.
Please give any advice on how best to nurse it back to health. Before this I limited my biological terrorism to cacti. My wife is mostly knowledgeable about vines and such. We need help!
