Peeling paint and primer

Yeah, so I’m going to scrapescrapescrape all the peeling paint off the bathroom wall. What I’d like to know is, what kind of primer should I put on it before repainting? Can you give me the name of a particular brand that’s suitable for a high humidity room? I never did stuff like this, and when I walk through the paint section in a store, it’s confusing…

I would recommend Zissner’s oil base white primer. I am a firm believer in using primer, and an oil base is a little stronger than a latex base especially for rooms that tend towards humidity. Clean-up is messier, but the oil is the best, and you can paint over it using a latex or oil base.

Thanks, I was hoping for a suggestion.
