People at the supermarket who bug you

Uh, it was a joke. We do that here.

It’s cause you got them girly little hands!

I usually charge it but when I pay cash I prefer the change on top. I slide the coins into my other hand and pocket them. Then I put the bills in my wallet.

What? ETOH? And why shouting 21?

Sneeze, who does not understand

I do most of my shopping with my wife at say 10 pm. It is a time we can relax, look around when we are not with our kids. My rant is for the parents who insist on draging a small child to the store at that hour. It’s way past the kids bedtime and the parent gets livid when the tired child makes a fuss. I want to scream “the kids tired he should be in bed leave him alone”. Note its not the kid screaming that gets me the kid just needs the sleep.

Aaaargh! Sucked in was I. (And probably defensive about my original rebuttal, which I thought looked too long, but which I couldn’t make succinct.) Thanks for the gentle wake-up.

This may be a repeat; I haven’t read every post in this thread:

At my local Albertson’s, the employees have taken to bringing in the shopping carts from outside and lining them up so that they face the door in several rows, getting closer and closer to the door as they bring in still more carts, until there’s hardly any room for you to get in the door and around the cart and into the store, and when you come out again, just try maneuvering your cart around the long rows of carts to get to the door!

YAAAAAUUUUUGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Please, for the love of God, leave at least a few of the damn carts inside! You are trying to defy the laws of physics by cramming them all into the little entrance!

Whew.
I feel a little better now.

ETOH = ethanol - liquor, beer, etc. Employees under the legal age for drinking can’t ring it up, at least in the state where I live. Hilarity ensues when every store employee over the age of 21 disappears rather than walk over and scan the item for the poor cashier.
