Actually, I have no problem with people advocating for the use of medical marijuana. My problem is when people who aren’t concerned about medical marijuana advocate for it (as if no one can tell what they’re up to) either so they can get a fake scrip or as a stepping stone towards full legalization…that’s what bugs me. I’ve always wondered where we’d be with legalization if they just skipped the medical marijuana thing and just tried to get it legalized.
To change it up. It would be like if people tried to get prostitution legalized based on the premise that it helped people with severe depression. Sure, that might be the case. Even if it were clinically proven that getting laid on a regular basis relived depression I think most people would have a hard time believing all the pro prostitution advocates that claim they just want it legalized for all the depressed people out there.
