percentage of calls attended to by police

I’m trying to find a list of calls attended to by police. Like what percentage of the calls they tend to are domestic disputes, robberies, etc… If the list is by highest to lowest that would be cool.

My google-fu is failing me.

Thanks.

Don’t know where you are, but most PD’s and Sheriffs Departments in the U.S. put out what is commonly referred to as an “Annual Report’” that will list such items. However it will be for the previous year. Finding out stats that are current (the last few weeks or months) may not be possible. Also, only a few law enforcement agencies have these on line. You will have to go into their office and request it.

No wonder If it is like you say, I couldn’t find the information! I was having an argument with a friend about what the highest number of police visits were. I contended it probably was domestic type of calls. He thought it was petty crime calls like shoplifting, or breaking up fights at the 7-11 parking lot, etc…

I’m in New Jersey. I’ll try to see what the local PD has. Thanks!

By far, the most responded calls (in my experience) are to automated alarm systems. This would far exceed domestics and shoplifting.
