Peripheral vision question

The last few years I have noticed an issue with my vision where out of the right side of my vision I will often think I see a small bug running. When I look directly at it there is nothing there. It usually happens when I am at the computer. It seems to be at about 60 degrees to my right. Getting to the point where it is aggravating. Has anyone ever heard of this.

Is it a floater?

I think that’s it. I matches what they describe. Usually happens on my white counter top and on the white wall next to my computer chair.

Get your vision checked. It might be a retinal tear. I kid not.

Added: here is my recent experience of a retinal tear. Your OP sounded like what I experienced at the beginning. Good luck, and I hope it’s nothing but a simple floater for you.

I have had several minor eye injuries over the last several years. I will look into it. I tend to get careless about safety glasses working around wood. You never need them till you need them.

Did you see my post edit?

I just went back and reread the thread. I will get it looked into. Mine does seem to have gotten a little bit worse in the last few months. For the most part I am not aware of any problem except for the occasional bug running up the wall. My other eye makes me think I may need to be looked at also after reading your post. It has been watering and irritated for a few weeks now and a little blurry.

Could be macular degeneration. Go see an ophthalmologist.

The macula is at the center of the retina field of view. That is the least likely cause.

I was recently an eye victim. Go to an ophthalmologist soon.

If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.

It’s probably a bore worm.

can also be a symptom of multiple sclerosis, especially if it’s a formed shape you’re seeing.

Yes. It should be checked out, but don’t get alarmed. MD is very unlikely.

Are you taking any medications though? Ambien made me see things in my peripheral vision.
