Mrs.Phlosphr and I were at a Diving Expo this past weekend and came dangerously close to buying one of these . It looks really fun, the video (that we took with us in case we change our minds) shows some really cool features. I have used similar devices before in the Key’s but they were rented and they went too slow for too short a time. Mrs.P and I are not avid divers (Hell we live n New Englad we are lucky if we can see our hand in front of our face) but we do like to get our maybe half dozen time a year. Underwater Lobstering is quite fun and it’s free…we only buy the license.
So how about it? Has anyone ever tried one of these underwater propulsion devices…We have a rain check for two of them for $550. Any Idea how safe they are? How does one equalize if both hands are on the machine…?
