Pesach Car Wash? Is this a thing?

Driving back to work after lunch today, I passed a sign for a Pesach Car Wash. I’ve never heard of a car wash being done for Passover like that.

Back when I was religious, I’d attend Seders…and in college I’d invite friends over for a Seder to show them what it was all about. But washing cars, as a fundraiser, in the name of the holiday? Does this happen in other places? Did my temple somehow shield me from some tradition?

Yeah, why not indulge in some spring cleaning to support a local organization? I wonder if they bother chasing out the crumbs with a lit candle and a feather? And why not have your car cleaned by someone who, like Hebrew National, answers to a Higher Authority? :smiley:
